 Lack of Media Attention
I am continually frustrated at the lack of media attention Indy car racing gets from all forms of the media. Even when ESPN or ESPN2 run info. on races it lacks in comparison
to NASCAR. When a scroll is run you see Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart etc. full names even
for just qualifying. When the IRL is run you see E. Castroneves, S. Dixon, D. Patrick.
Never full names and usually just after as race results. The IRL should wake up and insist
on equal billing. NASCAR announcers will not even mention IRl drivers or "that other series". They also claim credit for soft walls and saftey innovations that Indy car has pioneered. The Indy Car is also the fastest racing in the world and should be promoted
as such. The Indy 500 should be promoted as the Fastest Racing in the World ! That's
what racing is all about speed, speed, speed.

thank god for media like wind tunnel and print like autoweek and racer for comrehensive coverage of all things not nascar. i follow and attend everthing but nascar like f1, alms, indycar, grand am and local shorttrack usac. we need more in depth coverage in all these areas to promote the health of  motorsports in general. but until irl turns the financial corner, whitch it should now that there is one series, the love will continue to go to the good ol boys still chasing the ghost of number 3.
