Heavenly Sounds
I was raised in Fla. and started getting into it in the 1960's. Sebring every year. Smelling the fuel mixture for days after the races. Had a 1961 356B and with the PCA at the 24 hours at Daytona was allowed to take laps. Of course we had to maintain 1/2 mile distance between cars.
Was given the chance to work the pits as a crew member for a Dutch Count and his Porsche 904. Cannot remember his name but he died the next year at a Itialian Gran Prix. My mechanics in Jax Fla were the same ones that got Tommy Smothers 904 ready for Sebring every year. He was a WILD MAN. One year he was late to he track and decide he could get there much faster and drove the 904 to Sebring. I do not know how many tickets he got but he could afford it. As you all know one hears the sound for days when it is quiet. Lost my Sounds of Sebring many years ago. This video I will keep in my MSN Favorites. Thanks
